The Journey

Puzzle pieces pressed
Streets
Cobblestone

Look up
Lean back
Drift out a bit more
Water's edge
Buoyant

Surrounds me
Until they fit
I throw them up
to fertilize

Pound in hopes
Recovery hits the pavement
Demon wars

Hurts my feet

Empty
Feeling back and forth
It was difficult finding rocks

Healed pathway
Footstep composer
Treaded symphony
Crashing silent

Arise.

Cardboard Boxes

Open them up empty,
Fill them with time

Decide what goes where
Move them onto garage shelves
Or to the Salvation Army

Tears fall
Stuffed animals, books, papers written
Shall we keep that blanket?
I remember when.....
...a sigh...a heartbeat...
Knowing
To go onward

Do we leave this past on our heartshelves?

Dreams
Clouds and rain
Mixed together
New dawns

These cardboard boxes
I do not crush.
Open them up empty
Fill them with time.
Woven into heart.
